Meeting Inspirational Friends
Aug 27, 2020Jen and I popped in for a catch up chat with our friend and super meditation guru Jo. βοΈπ°
Pre COVID we tried to get together for brunch or a walk every couple of weeks but lockdown put a stop to this, then we fell out of the habit (most of us have changed our habits recently) and hence now it felt fabulous to get together again.
Meeting inspirational friends is just awesome, a real lift for everyone. In-fact these are the only type of friends I really enjoy meeting. β€οΈ
Jo told us about loads of great courses she was taking using the π MindValley, this is something that Jen and I will definitely be getting stuck into. π§
Jo is a fabulous cook and gave us a bowl of the most amazing chia pudding made with kefir (great for gut health), almonds, cinnamon, blueberries and mint on top.
She also baked an amazing, moist and healthy Orange and Almond Cake, I nearly ate it all.π·
Jo produced a dog eared (always a good sign) copy of a fabulous cookbook. This has also gone on ourπ amazon shopping list and will be delivered in 24 hours for just £4.24! If you learn something then make sure (where possible) you take immediate action as otherwise, that knowledge is never likely to be acted upon. My immediate action was to eat the cake and chia pudding π.
We then spent half an hour chatting about all the benefits that we receive from meditation and how we can create some really impactful courses to help everyone we know enjoy striving to be their best self.
If you've got friends and family who inspire you try and meet with them as often as you can, similarly if you know a few mood hoovers maybe try and not to spend too much of your time with them.
Meeting Jo gave us a dose of nutrition, mindfulness and community /team. These are 3 of the 6 things that we feel if you get into your life as regularly as possible will help you be your best self.
