1. About us

R1SE Urban Studios is the trading name for two related UK companies that together run our studios, urban spa, R1SE TV streaming service, and member experience:

R1SE Urban Spa Ltd, operating the Kelham Urban Spa at 8 Shepherd Street, Sheffield, S3 7BA.
R1SE Brook Place Ltd, operating the Brook Place studio at 112 Napier Street, Sheffield, S11 8DL.

References to “R1SE”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the company that operates the relevant location and service. Booking confirmations and invoices identify which entity is providing the service in each case. Either company can be contacted at hello@r1se.co.uk.

These terms apply to your use of our website, app, R1SE TV streaming service, studio sessions, urban-spa sessions, gift cards and shop purchases.

2. Membership & credits

All R1SE memberships are rolling monthly, with no minimum term and a 30-day cancellation notice. Cancel by emailing hello@r1se.co.uk or via your member dashboard.
Credits are allocated weekly on the day your billing cycle renewed and refresh each week. Credits do not roll over from one week to the next unless your specific plan states otherwise.
Where a plan permits credit sharing, credits can be shared with up to two named individuals on your account.
Membership fees are collected by direct debit or recurring card. It is your responsibility to keep payment details up to date.
We may adjust membership pricing with at least 30 days' notice. You can cancel at any time during the notice period at no charge.

3. Credit packs & drop-in sessions

Credit packs are valid for six months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.
Credit-pack credits do not auto-renew and are not refundable once used.
Drop-in pricing is available without a membership: peak sessions £20, off-peak (Mon–Fri before 5pm) £14.

4. Bookings & cancellations

Sessions are booked in advance via the R1SE app, our website, or the WellnessLiving booking platform.
The standard cancellation window is at least 2 hours before session start. Cancelling later than this, or not attending, results in the credits being forfeited.
Some specialist sessions (Aerial Beginners Course, Wellness Experience, workshops, teacher training) have longer cancellation windows that are made clear at the point of booking.
We may cancel or reschedule sessions for low attendance, instructor availability, or operational reasons. If we do, your credits are returned in full.

5. R1SE TV (on-demand streaming)

R1SE TV is included with most R1SE memberships and is also available as a standalone subscription for non-members.
Standalone R1SE TV subscriptions are billed monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on the plan you choose. Plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
You can cancel a standalone R1SE TV subscription at any time; you retain access until the end of the billing period.
R1SE TV content is for personal, non-commercial use only. Recording, redistributing or publicly performing R1SE TV content is not permitted.

6. Recovery therapies (Kelham Urban Spa)

Fire & Ice, ice baths, infrared and Finnish saunas, Red Light, PEMF, Compression Therapy, the Wellness Experience and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) all run from R1SE Urban Spa Ltd at 8 Shepherd Street, Sheffield, S3 7BA.
Some therapies have safety contraindications (e.g. cold immersion in pregnancy, HBOT with certain ear/sinus or respiratory conditions, sauna use with cardiovascular conditions). You are responsible for raising any health concerns with our team before booking, and you may be required to clear participation with your GP or specialist.
For HBOT we will always require explicit medical sign-off if you are undergoing or have recently completed cancer treatment, or have any contraindication listed on the HBOT page.
You must follow studio team instructions at all times in the spa areas, including time limits in saunas, ice baths and compression boots.

7. Health & safety

You participate in all sessions and recovery therapies at your own risk. By booking you confirm you are physically capable of participating to the extent disclosed to us.
You must inform your instructor or the team of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or recent surgery before any session.
For specialist services (Aerial, HBOT, Wellness Experience, guided Fire, Ice & Breath) you may be asked to sign a waiver acknowledging the activity-specific risks.
R1SE Urban Spa Ltd and R1SE Brook Place Ltd accept liability for personal injury or death caused by their negligence to the extent required by law and reject all other implied liability to the maximum extent law permits.
Under-16s may only attend designated sessions, accompanied by a parent or guardian where required, and after a parental consent form is signed.

8. Gift cards

Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Gift cards are non-refundable and can only be redeemed against R1SE services and shop items, not exchanged for cash.
Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced. Please keep your gift-card code secure.

9. Shop purchases

Physical products are described as accurately as possible. The colours and finishes you see on screen may vary slightly from the physical item.
Standard UK consumer law applies: most items can be returned within 14 days of receipt for a full refund, provided they are unused and in original condition. Items that are personalised, bespoke or hygiene-sensitive may be exempt, we will flag this at checkout.

10. Introductory & promotional offers

Introductory offers (such as the 80-credit Intro Offer) are available to new members only and are limited to one per person.
Promotional credits or discounts must be used within the validity period stated at the time of purchase.
We may withdraw or modify offers at any time. Existing offers already purchased are not affected.

11. Code of conduct

Treat fellow members, instructors and staff with respect at all times. Discriminatory, abusive, threatening or harassing behaviour will not be tolerated.
Arrive at least 5 minutes before your session. Late arrivals may be refused entry where this would disrupt the class or compromise safety.
Photography and filming inside studios and spa areas is not permitted without prior consent.
We may suspend or terminate membership where conduct is repeatedly inappropriate, unsafe or disruptive. In serious cases this may be without notice.

12. Intellectual property

All content on this website, the R1SE app, and R1SE TV (including text, images, video, logos, designs and class names) is owned by R1SE Urban Spa Ltd, R1SE Brook Place Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any of this content without our prior written consent.

13. Website & online services

We make every effort to keep our website, app and R1SE TV available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may update, modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where this affects paid services.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, R1SE Urban Spa Ltd and R1SE Brook Place Ltd are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses arising from your use of our services, website, app or facilities. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
