I have spent much of the last two years building a system designed to help people live with more balance.
The irony is that I have not always lived that way myself.
I have obsessed over how to connect the dots between the things that shape us: how we move, what we eat, how we sleep, how we recover, how much stress we are carrying and what is actually changing inside our bodies.
That obsession has helped us build something I believe can be genuinely empowering. It has also made me realise that I need it as much as anyone.
So this is not a story about a finished product promising a perfect life. It is the beginning of my own journey to use R1SE Intelligence, understand my body more clearly and bring myself back into better balance.
I would love other people to join me.
We do not need more disconnected data
Many of us already carry a remarkable amount of information about ourselves.
Our phones count our steps. Watches record workouts and heart rate. Rings estimate sleep and recovery. A body scan can show changes in composition and shape. Food apps can record meals. Blood, gut and DNA tests can add another layer of detail.
The problem is not a shortage of numbers.
The problem is that those numbers usually live in different places, speak different languages and rarely help us answer the question that matters most:
What should I actually do today?
A sleep score on its own is interesting. A body scan on its own is interesting. A week of meals, three R1SE classes and a change in stress are all interesting.
Connect them over time and they can become useful.
That is the idea behind R1SE Intelligence.
One private picture of you
R1SE Intelligence is being built as a private, permission-led picture of your wellbeing.
Body Intelligence brings together your 3D body scans and measurements. Food Intelligence helps you understand what you are eating without demanding perfection. Apple Health and Android Health Connect can add activity, workouts, sleep and recovery information that you choose to share. Our R1SE Recovery Ring will bring heart rate, sleep and HRV into the same view.
Your R1SE activity matters too. The system can know when you attended Reformer, Fire and Ice, yoga or another session, so it can begin to understand what you actually did rather than relying on what you meant to do.

A private R1SE timeline can bring selected health, body and recovery information together.
Blood Intelligence, Gut Intelligence and DNA Intelligence will add further context as those services develop. Each one should deepen the picture without pretending that a single test contains the whole truth about a person.

Blood, gut health and DNA will add further context to Body Intelligence.
You decide what connects. Connecting a health source does not make your raw readings or body scans public. Joining a community does not hand your private health history to other members. Our intention is simple: use the minimum information needed to help you, keep the controls clear and never turn intimate health data into advertising inventory.
You can read the detail in the R1SE privacy policy.
From a target to an intelligent target
Most health goals begin with a fixed number.
Lose this much weight. Complete this many workouts. Eat this many calories. Sleep for this many hours.
Fixed targets can be useful, but bodies are not fixed.
Your available energy changes. Stress changes. Sleep changes. Work becomes demanding. Family life takes over. Recovery improves or falls away. A sensible target after a good week may be completely wrong after three poor nights of sleep.
R1SE Intelligence is intended to help set targets with context.
That could mean using your body scans, recent activity, recovery, sleep and stated goal to suggest a realistic next step. It could notice that you are training hard but recovering poorly. It could show that your strength is improving even when the bathroom scales have barely moved. It could help you choose a lighter session instead of treating every day as a test of willpower.
The goal is not for a machine to command your life. It is to give you a better conversation with yourself.
And an intelligent target should be allowed to change when life changes.
Information becomes valuable when it changes Tuesday night
The most exciting technology is not always the most dramatic. Often it is the thing that removes friction from an ordinary day.
Food is a good example.
If the system understands your goals, recent activity, body information and dietary preferences, it can help suggest meals that suit where you are now. It can use what is already in the cupboard, build a practical meal plan and turn that into a shopping list.

Food Intelligence is designed to turn personal context into a practical weekly plan.
In time, we want it to help with the Tesco order too.
That may sound less futuristic than analysing DNA or mapping a 3D body scan. I think it is just as important. A brilliant plan that creates more admin is not a brilliant plan. If technology can save you time, reduce waste and make a good choice easier on a busy Tuesday, it has earned its place.
And, slightly cheekily but truthfully, if it saves you time and money on planning food, that gives you more time and money to come to R1SE.
AI should help us become more human
AI is part of how we are connecting these dots, but AI is not the point.
The point is understanding.
Used well, AI can look across a volume of information that would be exhausting for a person to compare. It can find patterns, explain them in normal language and help turn a broad ambition into a useful next action.
It can say: your sleep has been lower, your recent sessions have been intense and your recovery trend has changed. Perhaps today is a day for mobility, an earlier meal and a calmer evening.
That is very different from asking a generic chatbot for a generic wellness plan.
The ambition is for your personal information to remain under your control while AI works with the relevant context in a protected R1SE environment. It should explain its reasoning, respect the permissions you set and support your judgement rather than replacing it.
No score can tell the full story of how you feel. No algorithm can give you encouragement like another human being who understands what you are trying to do.
That is why this all connects back to community.
Private when you want it. Shared when it helps
Your data and goals can remain private. That should always be a real choice.
But sometimes a goal becomes easier when somebody else knows about it.
You may choose to share what you are planning with a friend, a coach or a R1SE community group. Not every reading. Not your entire health history. Just the goal, the action or the encouragement you want to share.
Perhaps you are planning three sessions this week. Perhaps you are working on strength, sleep or eating a proper lunch. Perhaps you want somebody to notice when you show up.
AI can connect the information. Human connection can help us act on it.
That combination feels much more powerful than another dashboard full of coloured circles.
I am going first
I am building R1SE Intelligence for our members, but I am also building it for myself.
After two years of intense focus, I know I have not always given my own body the time and balance I encourage others to find. I do not want to hide that behind a polished launch story.
I want to use the system openly. I want to learn from my body scans, food, activity, sleep, stress and recovery. I want to set intelligent targets, see what changes and share the useful parts of that journey with the R1SE community.
This is not going to be a transformation story built around shame or a perfect before-and-after photograph.
Every body is miraculous now.
Mine does not become more worthy when a number moves in the preferred direction. Neither does yours. Measurement should give us information and agency, not another reason to judge ourselves.

A scan is a point in a longer story. The person is always more than the numbers.
The beginning of the feedback loop
R1SE Intelligence will keep developing. Recovery Rings, connected health data, richer Food Intelligence, blood, gut and DNA information, intelligent targets and community accountability are all parts of the direction we are building towards.
Some features are already taking shape in the R1SE app. Others are coming next. We will be honest about that distinction as we go.
The vision is bigger than putting all your health data in one place.
It is a continuous, personal feedback loop:
- Understand where you are.
- Choose a realistic goal.
- Make the next action easier.
- See how your body responds.
- Learn, adjust and continue.
Not to optimise every second of life. Not to turn yourself into a spreadsheet. Not to chase perfection.
To understand and care for your miraculous body.
If you already use R1SE, keep an eye on the Measure area of the app as we introduce more of R1SE Intelligence. I will be there too, beginning my own journey and sharing what I learn.
